Harmful or Healthy This Summer?

Have the healthiest holiday

If you want the healthiest summer, and holiday, if you are going away, see my top tips below…

  • If you want to feel more toned and maybe lose a bit of weight to wear your summer clothes or bikini on the beach then start eating more natural foods without artificial additives. Substitute wheat for natural healthy gluten free alternatives such as quinoa , buckwheat , millet , rice etc as it is indicated that cutting out wheat can help with weight loss, decrease inflammation and feeling less bloated & fatigued. Also include a variety of vegetables which contain potassium and can help with fluid retention, blood sugar and weight issues.
  • It is important to keep hydrated during the hot weather and I recommend taking a highly effective quality travel water filter bottle while out and about and if you are going on holiday. My favourite is the drinkSAFE-systems New Travel Tap ‘Flip spout’ easy use version 800ml bottle. It is also useful for washing grazes, brushing teeth, cooking, pouring and filling other bottles/containers etc. The Waterstraw is also effective and is the lightest proven personal protection device in the world. It can be re-used again and again. There are discounts available during the summer. Take a look on the website to get more information & order or email Giles on info@drinksafe-systems.co.uk to get reassuring advice.
  • During the hot weather and when doing any sports then add Sports Electrolyte Fix Liquid by Viridian to your water as this is healthy and natural unlike most other electrolyte drinks/powders. Add some raw honey too if you want to add a sweet addition.
  • Nano and Colloidal Silver is known to be effective against any virus and illness so a great product to take on holiday or use at home. Spray some around you whilst on a plane journey and use in cases of infections, viruses, sore throats, digestive issues etc. The Health Factory have brought out a nano silver high quality spray in a mini dark violet bottle that helps to preserve it further. Available from Natural Dispensary – see details below.
  • If you get a stomach upset, diarrhoea or any other uncomfortable digestive symptoms take either activated charcoal (you can get it in tablet form by Bragg’s) or a natural toxin-binding gel called Silicea Gastrointestinal Gel or Enterosgel . All available from Natural Dispensary – see details below.
  • Prepare your skin on holiday or in the sun by taking a supplement called SPF Skin Pro Factors by Viridian . It contains a powerful synergy of carotenoids and antioxidants which help to strengthen the skin against damage from free radicals and the sun. It improves elasticity, texture and pigmentation etc. Available from Natural Dispensary – see details below.
  • If you are flying then it would be beneficial to take a supplement called Pycnogenol , which is an extract derived from maritime pine tree bark. Studies have found that it can prevent deep vein thrombosis, ankle swelling and severe jet lag. Research more on the internet if you are interested in taking this supplement and seek guidance of a health practitioner if needed. You can purchase this from Natural Dispensary and other health shops.
  • Lavender Essential oil or Tea Tree Oil can be beneficial for bites and stings and can be used neat on the skin. Put a few drops on a tissue to help calm you down and protect from airborne germs when flying. (Lavender is contraindicated for low blood pressure). A couple of brands are available from Natural Dispensary – see details below.
  • When travelling it is beneficial to take a probiotic recommended for travelling abroad to help to prevent stomach upsets. Optibac have one called Travelling Abroad . Take one capsule daily 3-5 days before departure, continuing during travel abroad and for a few days upon return from travel. They also have one called Saccharomyces boulardii that can be taken instead if you get a stomach upset, which is a safe and natural alternative to Imodium. Take one to four capsules depending on severity of symptoms and up to six capsules daily. Available from Natural Dispensary – see details below.
  • If you are looking for an effective and natural inspect repellent then my recommendation would be a brand called Incognito . They are natural and DEET free, registered with The Vegan Society. They have a wide range of products from a spray, roll on, suncream, shampoo, moisturiser, Zap-Ease after-bite relief, room freshener, incense sticks etc. All with the insect repellent properties. CLICK HERE for website with more details.
  • If you want find it beneficial to suck on a sweet when landing on the flight or have a sore throat I recommend instead pure Manuka Honey Lozenges by Comvita. Available from Natural Dispensary using product ID COM-20018 in search box – see details below.
  • Coconut oil can be taken on your holiday to have many uses such as a moisturiser, aftersun to help heal sunburn, make-up remover, for shaving, skin eruptions etc.
  • Most sunscreen and sunblock creams & oils contain harmful chemicals that can have negative effects on your health. I recommend using a natural sunscreen or sunblock that contains ingredients to improve the health of your skin and protect it from the sun at the same time. My favourite brand is Organii SPF 15, 30 & 50 which is non-whitening and available at online shops such as Pravera Direct and All Natural Me
  • SOS Advance is an excellent blood cleansing tonic to defend against disease, bacteria, microbes, viruses, toxins and parasites. CLICK HERE to read more information. It is now available in new enteric capsules that are easy to take when travelling and out and about. To order call Nigel on 01274 615914 to get a 10% discount if you mention Julie Silver as the practitioner who recommended you.
  • A homeopathic remedy called Apis Mel is indicated for bites, stings, sunburn etc so worth taking some on holiday and keeping some in your bag wherever you go. Check out more information on the internet. You can get the brand Weleda from Natural Dispensary – see details below.

You can buy natural health supplements such as probiotics, The Health Factory nano silver spray, activated charcoal, Silicea, Entersosgel, homeopathic remedies, aromatherapy oils etc from Natural Dispensarywww.naturaldispensary.co.uk Complete the online registration form, putting Julie Silver in the box which asks for the name of the Practitioner who referred you. Improving health on every level
By Julie Silver 27 Sep, 2019
"Rebound exercise is the most efficient and effective exercise yet devised my man" NASA - The Space Agency I got my first rebounder in my late twenties and thought it was great, however, it didn't last long as it was one of the cheaper ones. I then bought a more expensive one and spent about 5 minutes a day on it as part of my exercise programme. I recently came across the bellicon when I was visiting a friend. I had a go on it and absolutely loved it. I found it to be a much better and enjoyable experience to the one I had. I decided to get one for myself and have not regretted it. Instead of just going on it about 5 minutes daily, I'm now drawn like a magnet to going on the bellicon. I am now bouncing on it for longer periods several times a day. It's custom made to your requirements and the strength is usually dependent on your weight and state of health. You get to choose the colour you like, whether you want support bars, folding legs, carry case etc. One of the reasons that the bellicon rebounder is very different to other rebounders is that it has a special bungee system which allows you to stretch perfectly and evenly so your muscles have enough time to flex, so there is no shock for your joints, back etc. The reason I love rebounding is that it's such good fun and I can listen to music, watch TV/YouTube videos etc at the same time. I've always recommended rebounding as I heard that spending 10 minutes on the rebounder is equivalent to a 30 minute jog without the skeletal stress. The information I read about the rebounder really empowers me to bounce daily, which doesn't take much effort as I can do it in the comfort of my own home so don't have to go out in cold/rainy weather, drive anywhere or wear anything specific. Here are some of the benefits of the bellicon rebounder: It is joint and back friendly with low impact Helps lymphatic drainage and detoxing It can strengthen your heart and build lung capacity Great pelvic floor and inner muscle training Strengthening bones (against osteoporosis) Helping to balance and lose excess weight Activates the metabolism Benefits the immune system and can help healing of many illnesses Helps to de-stress, relax and invigorate the body Improves balance and coordination The most fun and effective exercise in the least amount of time Highest quality (made in Germany) Quiet bounce Customizable with over 400.000+ possibilities It's a onetime investment that lasts many many years etc. It's a great investment and can be used by the whole family at home. It can also be used in the workplace and a gym etc too. You can read more about the bellicon rebounder on their website . There are many YouTube videos showing the benefits.
